O Give Thanks Unto the Lord

I Chronicles 16:34, “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.”

The Bible talks about being thankful so much. “Thanks” or a version of the word is mentioned over 100 times. In fact, this exact verse is also found 4 times in the book of Psalms. If God mentions something one time it is important. How much more important it must be if He mentions it 5 times!

We have so much to be thankful for in our lives, and it needs to be expressed. It has been said, “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” God ought to hear our thankfulness to Him. He sure it worthy of it. Someone once said, “Gratitude begins where the sense of entitlement ends.” We could use a lot more people to be grateful and a lot less people to feel entitled. Just take a few moments to thank God for all He’s done for you.
