Job 37:23-24, “Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.”
Every person ought to fear God. Fearing God does not mean that we are afraid of God. It means that we have a great reverence and respect for God. God is all-powerful, and we ought to reverence him as such. Fearing God will also cause us to hate evil as Proverbs 8:13 says, “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”
God greatly deserves our fear, and we ought to give it to Him. Psalm 33:8 states. “Let all the earth fear the Lord : let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him.”
Are we fearing the Lord how we should?
