Job 42:12, “So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.”
The story of Job is a very familiar one. A very wealthy man lost all he had in one day. He still decided that he would serve the Lord. Through all the hurt and heartache, he stayed faithful to God, and God blessed Him for it. The Bible states that God blessed Job more at the end than at the beginning.
Increased faithfulness brought Job increased blessings. Many time growing up, I was told, “It’s not how you start; it’s how you finish.” Anyone can start something, but only the faithful can finish it. Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, “Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” Stay faithful to God, and like Job, God can bless you.
