Hastened and Pressed On

Esther 8:14, “So the posts that rode upon mules and camels went out, being hastened and pressed on by the king’s commandment. And the decree was given at Shushan the palace.”

I personally love this passage of Scripture. The messengers were hastened and pressed on by the king because they had an important message from the king. They were responsible to get this message to the entire kingdom. If they did not, the Jews would more than likely lose their lives.

Isn’t this a lot like us today? We have a very important message from our King. The message that Jesus died to save us, and we can accept his death as the payment for our sins. We are hastened and pressed on by our King to get this message to the entire world. Will you take the message to those around so others can be saved? If we don’t, some may never fear and be forced to spend eternity in Hell.
