Acts 23:1, “And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day.”
The apostle Paul is one of the greatest Christians that has ever walked this earth. It is truly amazing to think that Paul lived in all good conscience before God. Of course, Paul made mistakes. Everyone does, but he did his best to do everything that God would have him to do. Imagine if all the Christians in this world lived with a good conscience toward God. This world would be flipped upside down for Christ!
It has been said that we ought to obey every spiritual impulse. It can be little things like giving someone a tract (which is not a little thing,) but we need to give in when we hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. As a Christian, I know all about those spiritual impulses. Those moments when it seems like Satan is on one shoulder and the Holy Spirit on your other. It’s always a decision, and many times it is not the natural decision. The flesh doesn’t want to the things of God, but the Holy Spirit living inside of Christians. I John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Let us do our best each and every day to live in a good conscience toward God in everything that we do.
