Who Shall Separate Us From the Love of Christ?

Romans 8:35, 38-39, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

It is a comforting thought to know that as a Christian, nothing can ever separate us from the love of God. God will always continue to love us even when we do not deserve it. Nothing we can do can ever cause God to stop loving us.

As a child of God, we have a Father-child relationship with God. As a parent will always love their child regardless of the choices they make, God will always love us regardless of our choices. No matter what may come our way, we can be confident in the fact that God loves us. However, we should not take advantage of God’s love. Like I wrote about yesterday, God’s love and God’s grace are not a savings for us to cash out and dig into. As a child of God, we ought to desire to make our Father happy and pleased with our actions.

The love of God is truly a wonderful thing, but not everyone has had the opportunity to experience it for themselves. We must do our best to show others the love of God, so they too can know what it’s like to never be separated from the wonderful unconditional love of God. Let us never forget about the love of God and/or take advantage of it, and let us be a vessel through which others can see the love of God.
