I John 1:6, “If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth.”
This verse defines many people. Basically, it is the definition of a fake Christian. Many people want to talk about how much they love the Lord, but they want to walk in darkness. Their lifestyle is not any different than the lifestyle of the world. People that claim they are “Christian” and love God and want to please Him dress, act, and talk like the world. They claim that they are worshiping God, but it’s basically a rock concert with Jesus’ name thrown on it. That doesn’t make it right. It’s still darkness. Just because you put the word “healthy” on the package of a Big Mac does NOT change what is inside.
People are unwilling to give up their darkness in order to gain fellowship with the Father. That is such a big mistake. Remember that separation is not about what you give up; it’s about what you gain. Let us truly examine ourselves. II Corinthians 13:5 says, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.” Upon examining yourself, ask the Lord to examine you. Psalm 139:23-24 states, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Are we living a lie? Do our walk and our talk agree or are they different? Let us examine ourselves, and fix our lifestyle to avoid living a lie. Go all in for God! It’s worth it!
