Worthy is the Lamb

Revelation 5:11-12, “And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”

Oh, how worthy the Lamb of God truly is! Jesus was willing to die for us when we didn’t deserve it. He deserves the very best from us just for that alone. However, He didn’t stop there. Now, God wants to use. He wants to bless us. He wants to take care of us. He wants to supply our needs. He wants to hear and answer our prayers. He wants to have a relationship with us. How amazing it is that the God and Creator of the universe would want to spend time with an insignificant individual like myself.

Worthy is the Lamb! He ought to be honored, for He is worthy. I want my life to bring honor to God! When people look at me and what I have accomplished, I don’t want to receive the credit. I would hope that what I do would point others toward Christ and how wonderful He is!

Give the honor due unto Christ! Don’t take credit for something He did. When was the last time we thanked God for blessing us instead of crediting it to our efforts? We must never forget that we are nothing without Christ. Only the Lamb of God is worthy of honor, and we ought to give it to Him.
