Exodus 15:1-2, “Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord , and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord , for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
God had just delivered the children of Israel from Egypt. They came to a place where there were mountains on both sides, the Red Sea in front of them, and Pharaoh’s army behind them. God performed a miracle, and parted the waters for them to walk across on dry ground.
When they went across, they began to singĀ a song of praise to the Lord. When we get victories in our life, what is our first reaction? Is it to praise the Lord or is it to praise yourself? When we experience victories, we must give all the credit to the Lord. The Bible says in John 15:5, “For without me ye can do nothing.” Let us remember to praise the Lord, for HE has triumphed gloriously.
