The Lord Blessed The Latter End…More Than His Beginning

Job 42:12-13, “[12] So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. [13] He had also seven sons and three daughters.”

Job went through probably the greatest trial that mankind has ever known. He lost everything he had in a matter of minutes. Then, his wife and friends turned on Job, and his health was bad too. However, the Bible says in Job 1:22, “In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.”

Because Job was able to make it through his trail the right way, God blesses him for it. The verse above states that God blesses his beginning more than his end. He had far more animals than he had before, and he even had 10 more children.

Remember that as we go through trials to never quit on God. God allows us to go through trials so we can increase our faith, grow stronger, and become closer to God. Job is a perfect example of how we should go through trials. He did it the right way, and God blesses him for it. You may not be in a trial right now, but you will be. It’s been said that everyone is either going into a trial, in a trial, or coming out of a trial.

Let us purpose to go through our trials with the right attitude. Job 23:10, “But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Will you come forth as gold or will you turn your back on God. Let us strive to never quit during our trials so God can bless our end like He did with Job’s.
