Here Am I; Send Me

Isaiah 6:8, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.”

This is an appropriate verse as our church just had our Missions Month. This ought to be the mindset of every single Christian. No matter what God calls us to do, we ought to say, “Here am I; send me!”

This verse does is not just for missionaries though it does apply to them. This verse is not just for pastors though this verse applies to pastors as well. This verse applies to every Christian. If God calls us to teach a class, our response ought to be, “Here am I; send me.” If God tells us to witness to someone, our response ought to be, “Here am I; send me.”

There is no such thing as a little call to serve God. No matter what God has called us to do, it is up to us to answer the call and to be faithful to his call. If you haven’t already answered the call, answer it today. No matter what the call is, may our response to it be, “Here am I; send me.”
