Jeremiah 39:17-18, “ But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the Lord : and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid. For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord.”
God was speaking to Jeremiah, and He told Jeremiah that He would deliver him. The reason for this deliverance is found at the end of verse 18 where it says, “Because thou has put thy trust in me.” Jeremiah trusted in God, and God took care of him.
The same principle applies today as well. If we will trust in God, God will take care of us. There is nothing that could come in our life that God would not be able to handle. 1 John 4:4 is a great reminder of that how it says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
The challenge today is simple. Put your trust in God. Do not ever doubt that God is in control of every situation. If we trust in God, He will always come through.
