Ezekiel 12:20, “[20] And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.”
The phrase, “I am the Lord” is used four times in this chapter. This chapter mentions many things that God says he will do, so the people will know that He is the Lord. These verses prompt me to ask this question. What will it take for us to realize/admit that God is the Lord?
For some it is quite simple. Some have enough faith to believe that God is the Lord based on His Word, but that is not the case with everyone. Some won’t admit it, and God has to humble them.
Whether or not we believe it, GOD IS THE LORD. It is up to us as to whether or not we will accept it. We all will at some point. It is our choice as to when that will be.
Let us ask ourselves what it will take for us to accept that God is God. Will God have to humble us for us to realize it or will we humble ourselves and accept that God is God? I would hope we choose the second, and I would hope that we would live our lives in such a way that would demonstrate it.
