Ezekiel 22:26, “Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.”
The phrase I want to write about today is right in the middle where it states, “They have put no difference between the holy and profane.” This is so true with so many today. Many want to combine the things of God with the things of this world. However, many do not do this intentionally. They do it because they do not see a difference between things that are holy and things that are profane meaning not respectful of religious practice or irreverent.
The challenge today is to ask the Lord for discernment which is the ability to judge well. Specifically, let us ask for spiritual discernment so we can make right determinations between right and wrong with no overlap. I feel that the holy and profane become intertwined when Christians do not have proper discernment in their life. Ask the Lord today to help you determine what is holy and what is profane.
