He Did Not…Because of Their Unbelief

Matthew 13:58, “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

This verse stuck out to me today and caused me to ask myself this question. What “mighty works” of God have I missed out on because of my unbelief? What a shame it would be to get to Heaven and God tell us all the things He wanted to do with and through our lives, but He wasn’t able to do them because of our lack of faith.

God has never given us a reason to doubt Him. Some people will use the trials they go through as an excuse to doubt God. Hard times should not cause us to ask God why He would allow us to go through such things, but it should cause us to ask God what He is trying to teach us. Let us try today to grow our faith. Let us determine that we will trust God, so we do not miss out on any “mighty works.”
