Leviticus 22:31, “[31] Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord.”
Today is just a short simple reminder. Obey God’s commandments! I firmly believe that one of the biggest problems in today’s society is that people believe they are exceptions to the rule.
They will say things like, “The speed limit says 50? That doesn’t apply to me. I can go 65. There’s a red light? Oh, that doesn’t apply to me. There’s no one even coming. There’s a long line at the store? Well, I don’t want to wait, so I will cut in at the front.”
These are just a few of the many examples of people thinking they are above the rules in life. Big mistakes in life are seldom made suddenly. They are preceded my numerous little mistakes that lead to a big one.
As Christians, we have been commanded to obey the Lord. We are not above His commandments. We are not exceptions to the rule. If we will obey, not only will be better off in life in the aspect of not getting in trouble, but we will reap the blessings of obeying God. Let us do our best today to obey the Lord.
