They Offered Strange Fire

Numbers 3:4, “And Nadab and Abihu died before the Lord, when they offered strange fire before the Lord, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest’s office in the sight of Aaron their father.”

Today’s post is a reminder that doing God’s things in our own way does not bring good results. Making an offering to the Lord is a good thing, but Nadab and Abihu didn’t do it the right way. They tried to do it their own way by offering strange fire, and it cost them their lives. In life, let us not only be sure we are doing God’s plan, but let us also be sure that we are doing God’s plan, God’s way and not our own way.
