God is not a Man, That He Should Lie

Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it ? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”

This is such a great reminder to us and especially in the uncertain times in which we live. “God is not a man, that He should lie,” the verse says. God does not lie. Not only does God not lie, Titus 1:2 says God CANNOT lie! What God says is what God means.

It is good to know that we can trust in what God says. His Word is filled with promises. His promises are just as applicable and true today as the moment He gave them. We have nothing to fear because God is in control, and we can trust that He will take care of us. He has promised that He will neither leave us nor forsake us. He has promised that He will supply all our needs. He has promised that all things work together for good to them that love God.

It doesn’t matter how good or bad our world seems, we can rest assured in the promises of God. How’s your faith today? Are we trusting in God how we should? There’s no need to fear. God is with us, and He will keep His promises because He cannot lie.
