This is the Second Death

Revelation 20:14-15, “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

Are you ready for this day? Anything but a definite yes to that question, is a definite no. If you are unsure about what this even means or you are unsure if your name is written in the book of life, please click here, or use that contact section to send me a message.

This day will come eventually. Those whose names are found in the book of life–those who are saved–will be able to live with Christ forever. Those who are not saved, will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity. It really is a scary thought if you stop and think. Eternal burning. For those of us that are saved, we can be thankful that we do not have to experience this. If we stop and think about the complete torments those that go there experience, it should really motivate us to keep others from going there.

We had the Carr Fire here in Redding a couple months ago. Before the fire even reached Redding, a lady ran into the office where I work. She said, “The fire is coming! Everyone needs to leave! I’m trying to save people’s lives!” Then, she left and went to the next door. If only we, as soul winners, would do this. If we were this motivated to see others saved, I believe many more people would be saved. I struggle with this just as much as the next person, but I don’t understand why we get so scared to tell people about how they don’t have to experience Hell. It’s something that we need help with. We must ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and give us boldness. The challenge today is twofold. First, if you are not saved, please don’t wait any longer. The fire is coming. Secondly, If you are saved, the fire is coming. Tell someone how they can be saved.
